Spray Drying Tower Principle and Features Time:2018.03.22
     The principle of spray drying is that the air passes through the filter and the heater, enters the air distributor at the top of the drying tower, and then enters the drying chamber spirally evenly. The feed liquid is pumped from the feed tank through the filter to the centrifugal atomizer on the top of the drying tower, so that the feed liquid is sprayed into tiny mist-like droplets. The feed liquid is in contact with the hot air in parallel and the water quickly evaporates. Dry to finished product in a short period of time. The finished product is discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, and the exhaust gas is discharged by the fan.

     What are the characteristics of the spray dryer operation process?
1.1 Drying speed. After the material liquid is sprayed by centrifugal, the surface area is greatly increased. In the high-temperature airflow, 95%-98% of water can be evaporated instantaneously, and the drying time is only a few seconds.
1.2 The use of co-current spray drying allows droplets to flow in the same direction as hot air. Although the temperature of hot air is high, the hot air enters the drying chamber immediately and comes into contact with the spray droplets. The indoor temperature drops sharply, and the wet bulb temperature of the material is basically the same. No change, so it is also suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials.
1.3 The use of a wide range. According to the characteristics of the material, it can be used for hot air drying, centrifugal granulation and cold air granulation. Most of the products with very different characteristics can be produced by this machine.
1.4 Because the drying process is completed in an instant, the particles of the finished product can basically keep the droplets in a similar spherical shape, and the product has good dispersibility, fluidity and solubility.
1.5 The production process is simplified and the operation and control are convenient. Spray drying is generally used for solutions with a solids content of 60% or less. After drying, it does not require crushing and screening, which reduces the number of production steps and simplifies the production process. For the product's particle size, bulk density, moisture, within a certain range, you can change the operating conditions to adjust, control, management are very convenient.
1.6 In order to prevent contamination of the material and extend the life of the equipment, all parts in contact with the material are made of stainless steel.

      After the material liquid is sprayed, it is atomized into dispersed particles, the surface area is greatly increased, and the drying process can be completed in a very short time after contact with hot air. In general, 95% to 98% of water can be evaporated within 100 to 150°C for 1 to 3 seconds. As the drying process is completed in an instant, the finished product particles can maintain a substantially spherical shape similar to the droplets, thereby having good dispersibility, excellent reconstitution, and high solubility.
